Hey Reader, You might not realize this about me, but I'm not a particularly outgoing person. Can I command a room while teaching? Yes, absolutely. Put me on a stage in front of a room full of strangers? No problem! But invite me to a party where I don't know anyone? I'm the person sitting in the corner petting your cat. So I have to admit that it was pretty out of character for me to reach out to Luna Finn when I saw she was visiting Seattle a few months ago. (If you don't follow her, go do it. She's great!) But I was inspired for some reason, and invited her to come over for a little backyard training jam. And I am SO GLAD that I did! We immediately connected, and realized that we have so much in common: A deep love of theory, a drive for creative exploration, and a passion for teaching. So when she reached out to me to ask if I was interested in co-hosting an aerial sling focused retreat with her? IMMEDIATE YES! And thus, the Slingstravaganza retreat was born! That's right, Luna and I will be co-hosting a theory focused sling retreat at Sweet Retreats March 27-April 3rd 2027! And we would be THRILLED if you joined us! You can expect 5 days of classes with a focus on wrap theory, fluid movement, and sequencing, excursions, a photo shoot, and delicious meals, all in gorgeous Oaxaca, Mexico! I'll have plenty more details to share, but you can check it all out here. I am so excited, I don't know how I'm going to wait until March! Let me know if you've got any questions, I really think this is going to be a pretty magical experience, and I'd hate for you to miss it! Love, Lauren |
